Industrial Electrical Engineer
Rigorous Technology is a robotics company with a mission to automate non-creative tasks. We primarily support industrial manufacturers with a focus on small to medium size companies in the Northeast. We prototype, design, build, and install robots that help humans. Rigorous Technology develops manipulation and control software, continually building upon our RGS software library.
Rigorous is a startup. We’re looking for a leader coming in on the ground floor. We have three years of consistent growth, doubling revenue each year and developing the foundation of our library of technology. We are looking for early employees who can lead our growing team, acting as subject matter experts in your respective fields.
Rigorous currently seeks a top performer for a fast-paced and constantly evolving technical environment, committed to solving difficult problems that improve people’s lives. You will support research and development projects as well as production-ready products.
Job Description
You’ll design, prototype, develop, and wire electrical and pneumatic components of automated robotic systems. You’ll work primarily in the Williston robot lab with up to 20% travel required for testing, installations, and service. You will be responsible for implementing scalable systems and leading colleagues to success as our subject matter expert on electrical design, wiring, and service. This is a dynamic role – while your day-to-day will rarely repeat, we will rely upon you to create a roadmap for those who work under you now or in the future to repeat your systems effectively.
You’ll work under the direction of our CEO and technical co-founder Colin Riggs. As our team grows, you’ll collaborate with systems engineers, robotics engineers, software engineers, mechanical engineers, and technicians.
